fall flood on the Mulberry River has destroyed the Oark Swingin' Bridge. Not
only is the Swingin' Bridge a Johnson County treasure and a well known landmark
that attracts visitors from all over, but it is also a means of access for Mrs.
Kathy Brown who lives on the other side of the property. During times of high
water the foot bridge is the only way for her to get out or family and friends
to get in. We have several volunteers lead by Tom Cogan ready to rebuild the
bridge but it will take supplies and materials. We are asking for donations to
help purchase those supplies. It will take $2,400 total. Johnson County Judge
elect Herman Houston has already pledged $100 and we are asking everyone who
wants to see the bridge rebuilt to please make a donation as
can be made at the Clarksville-Johnson County Chamber of Commerce. Or if you
would like to make an online donation you can follow this link: http://www.gofundme.com/ib8zd8 Whether
its $5, $50 or $500, please consider making a donation
